Quaker Life is holding Quaker Life Representative Council (QLRC) over the weekend of 13 – 15 October 2023. This conference is for area meeting and general meeting Quaker Life Representatives. QLRC will be held in-person at Milton Hill House, Abingdon (OX13 6AF), and as an online blended event. We want to ensure that as many Friends can participate as possible.

Due to the capacity of the venue there is only one in-person residential place available for each area meeting and general meeting.

Please note the following deadlines for booking:

• Bookings open – Monday 17 July 2023

• To guarantee your area meeting residential place – Sunday 27 August 2023

• Final bookings – Sunday 10 September 2023

• Payment to be made – Friday 15 September 2023

We will be holding a waiting list for area meetings and general meetings wishing to book a second residential place. After Sunday 27 August we will offer additional places to anyone on the waiting list.

We are required to give delegate numbers to the venue 28 days prior to the booking. Please ensure you observe these deadlines to guarantee you can send a Representative.

The residential event starts on Friday evening (check in is from 3pm and you can register from 4pm) and finishes with lunch on Sunday. The assumption is that you will be staying at Milton House Hotel on both Friday and Saturday nights. Cost £345 per person.

The online option is available throughout the weekend during the main sessions. Cost £30 per person.

Can you offer your help at Representative Council?

Quaker Life Council is an opportunity for the exchange of good ideas, support, resources and inspiration. We aim to involve everyone in some way and all your contributions add to the success of the weekend – we couldn’t do it without you. The types of roles are varied and you can offer as much or as little as you feel able to.
The form below sets out the regular contributions we need to successfully run the event, although we do leave a space for you to add details of your other skills/gifts that you might offer.

Those willing to co-facilitate Home Groups
- Should have experience of Facilitation
- Should attend the briefing on Friday afternoon
- Will receive guidance notes

Your offers will be passed on to the Planning Group and you will be contacted nearer to the time to take on a particular role at the council.
