Legacies in the past, legacies today 2026 Legacies in the past, legacies today Everyone is warmly invited to join us at this informal evening event. You’ll find out more about how legacies have supported Quakers and how legacies you leave can do so in the future. Starting at 6:30 pm, there will be tours of the Friends House Library (first-come, first-served), where there will be a display of historical materials about legacies and fundraising by Friends in past times. From 7:15 pm, we will hear a few brief talks. Siobhan Haire, Deputy Recording Clerk, will be telling us all about the work of Quakers in Britain, and how crucial legacy giving has been in enabling the charity to do the work discerned by Friends. Libby Adams, Head of Library and Archives, will share with us an example of how a legacy gift supported a key aspect of their work and Graham Torr, Giving Advocate and Treasurer of York AM will talk about why he is leaving a gift in his will to Quakers in Britain. You’ll also have a chance to socialise, talk to staff, and find out more about leaving a legacy for Quaker work. There will be refreshments and a finger food buffet, so please join us!Name(Required) First Last Email(Required) Phone numberDietary Preferences(Required)VegetarianVeganNo food pleaseDietary Requirements(Required) None Diabetic Food allergies Gluten free Dairy Free Please give details of your allergies(Required)By completing this form you consent to Quakers in Britain processing the personal information you provide for the purposes of administering and communicating with you about this event.
