Meeting Visit Request Form

Being Friends Together Meeting Visitors might help a meeting to look at and better understand the structure of the web-based resource. They might also help to guide a meeting through the discernment process and explore the pathways into learning together. For some meetings the relationship may continue with visitors supporting in a mentoring capacity. To request a meeting visit please complete this form to give some background to your request.

Please try to allow suitable time for Friends to be found and for your visit to be adequately planned. This part of the process could take up to 8 weeks.

The cost of the meeting visit is £150.00. This covers all of the meeting visitors’ travel and incidental expenses. Quaker Life will send an invoice after the event has taken place.

Communicating during planning

Try to involve at least two contacts from your meeting in all communications with visitors. Sometimes important information can be picked up by including more than one person in every correspondence. Please aim to follow up telephone conversations with an email to confirm what has been discussed and agreed. Having a shared written record will ensure that all parties are aware of these discussions and facilitators will be able to better meet the requirements of the request.

Meeting and hosting of visitors

Is there access to the venue by public transport? Will you collect from the bus / rail station? Can you provide a clear map or directions that show the venue? Please include any landmarks that will help to locate the venue.

Will the BFT visitors arrive before the Friends participating in the event? Please consider; the time that they can arrive, access to venue for setting up, heating arrangements (if needed). Is there any other group using or anything unusual going to be happening at the venue on the day?

Please be clear what refreshments you will provide (coffee, lunch etc).
