Britain Yearly Meeting has agreed to revise our book of discipline (Quaker faith & practice).
It will be for the Book of Discipline Revision Committee to decide when and how to consider materials that have been submitted. This may not happen for some time.
You can use this form to suggest text for the next book, or to offer general advice about the revision.
There will be mechanisms for Quakers to discuss and engage with the process. This form is designed to enable Quakers in Britain to help collect together material that could helpfully be included in a future book of discipline (Quaker faith & practice). Contributions are welcome from individual Quakers, from reading or study groups, interest groups, local or area meetings, or any other Quaker body.
Material might typically include existing Quaker minutes, or extracts from published writings, but new writing or other media can also be submitted. There is no need to enter material from Quaker faith & practice.
We have designed the form to gather the suggested material itself, as well as the accompanying details that the book of discipline revision committee may need.
Almost all boxes in the form are optional: those that are required are indicated by an asterisk. Please fill in as much as you can, but do not worry if you need to leave some answers blank.
When you have completed the form, you will receive an automatic email acknowledgement. Thank you for taking part.
If there is a query about your suggestion, then we might use your contact details. We will be archiving these responses.
