You have indicated that you would like to offer service as a part of the pastoral care team. As this role includes working with people who are classed as vulnerable we need some more information from you. The following questions will enable us to follow our safer recruitment policy. This volunteer role is subject to satisfactory safer recruitment checks including criminal record checks. This should from the nation in which you live. In England and Wales this is the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), and Scotland it is the Protecting Vulnerable Groups scheme (PVG). The following questions enable us to support this process.

Please provide the details of two people (not related to or in a relationship with you and not the pastoral care convenors, Patsy Wilson and Deborah Mitchell) to whom reference can be made, both should know you well and at least one should have known you for two years or more. At least one of these referees should be able to speak to your suitability for pastoral care. One should be Quaker and one should know you from another area of life.

We will only contact these referees if the references we have for you are more than 3 years old.
